At Hanney Pre-school we aim to:

  • Enhance the development and educational needs of the child, working with parents/carers within a community based group,

  • Provide a secure and stimulative environment where children have a choice and the opportunity of learning,

  • Work within a framework that ensures opportunity of equality for all the children and families.

We offer your child:

  • A specially tailored curriculum leading towards nationally approved learning goals,

  • A large selection of play equipment and resources to help contribute to development learning through play and adult-led activities,

  • Individual care and attention by our high ratio of staff to children,

  • The support of a personal Key Person, and opportunities of parental involvement in the child’s progression.

  • Fun and friendship with children and other adults,

  • Opportunities for direct family involvement in the activities of the Pre-school setting and in their child’s progress.

Pre-School sessions:

To ensure all children have access to an Early Years provision, from the age of 3, children are entitled to 15 government funded hours per week.

To accommodate this, the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday sessions are run on a ‘flexible hour’ system. During these days, children may attend just the morning session until 12 noon, they may wish to stay for the lunch club until 1.00p.m. or they can stay for the whole session ending at 2.00p.m. In order for these sessions to run smoothly, we do ask that children are collected promptly at the end of their chosen finishing time. Subject to availability, children may attend additional hours at the cost outlined in our fees policy.
