FAQ

Here are just a few subjects that you might need to know more about. If you have any further questions please speak to us and we will do our best to help.

  • Free early learning for three and four year olds. All three and four year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education for 38 weeks of the year. This applies until they reach compulsory school age (the term following their fifth birthday). Free nursery education can take place in nurseries, playgroups, preschools or at their childminders. This allowance may be used in full or in part at Hanney Pre-school. You can read more about it here or speak to our pre-school supervisor and they will be able to point you in the right direction.

  • Childcare vouchers are part of a little known government scheme, which can save many working parents with children aged up to 15, over £1,000 a year on childcare. It needs to be offered via employers, but many large and small companies take part. If you would like to find out more please click here.

We do our best to stay on top of the latest guidelines on entitlements and allowances but would advise you to double all information suggested here, before making a decision based on them.
