We will be holding cake sales each term in an effort to raise money for our new building. They will take place in the playground of St. James School from 3.15.If you are able to help by either making or selling cakes, please see Jodie McNamara. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped so far – these events is proving quite lucrative and we are hopeful that we will be able to pay for the Roves Farm Trip with some of this money!
The School and Preschool Sumer fete will be taking place on Saturday 9th July. Please let us know if you can help in anyway. The theme this year is Rio to link with the Olympic Games.
We have a local photographer coming in on Weds 15th and Thurs 16th June, and then again on Monday 20th June. She will be taking photographs of the children individually and together. Staff will supervise at all times. These pictures will be available for you to buy – prices to follow….
On Wednesday 6th July, we are planning a trip to Roves Farm near Swindon. As in previous years, this will mean that the preschool will be closed on this day. All children will need to be accompanied by a parent or carer to the farm and it does not matter if they don’t normally attend preschool on that day. As preschool will be closed that day, you will not be charged. However, if you would like to support the preschool who will still be paying for our staff that day, and are happy to pay anyway, we would be extremely grateful. Please let me or your key worker know ASAP. Thank you.
Picnic Ball – Raffle Tickets
The Picnic Ball is on Saturday June 18th – we still have some seats available, so please email me if you would like to come: firstname.lastname@example.org. Price is £15 per ticket, which includes a glass of bubbly on arrival and some live music! All proceeds from this event go to preschool, so the more money we can make the better! Thank you so much to those of you who have donated prizes or offered to help. We need to sell 1000 raffle tickets, so please help by buying some yourselves and persuading nannies, aunties, cousins etc. to buy some too. If we can sell them all that will be £1000!
We bid farewell to Yael – Morgan’s mum, who has been our secretary for the last 2 years – thank you so much for all your hard work.
In September I will also be returning to full time teaching, so will no longer be able to commit myself as fully to the chairperson role. Without a chairperson or secretary, preschool cannot run; we also need at least 5 committee members to satisfy the requirements of the charity commission. If you are interested in joining the committee or in the secretary or chairperson role, please speak to us! I will be sending out a specific letter very soon!
This will take place on Tuesday 19th July. Parents/carers are welcome to come along for a picnic at 12pm and to celebrate our children graduating to primary school and to say goodbye to those moving away.
We hope to see lots of you there.
And finally, this term….
We will continue to be focusing on growing. We look forward to watching our plants grow and change over the coming weeks.
